THE PHOTO CONTEST 2011 WORLD FEDERATION OF THE CIRCUS IN PARIS

Monte Carlo, Monaco (February 28, 2011) "Children and the circus" is the theme of
Photo Contest 2011 announced today by the World Federation of Circus, under the auspices of HSH Princess Stephanie
Monaco. The competition will begin during the second World Day circus,
Saturday, April 16, 2011, and ending June 15, 2011.

The idea to focus the 2011 competition on children came from Nico Wiertz, Council Member
of Directors of the Dutch organization Friends of the circus. "The circus like to children around the world
and the kid in all of us," said Wiertz, "When children go to the circus, they are so fascinated
they forget to eat their popcorn . The future of the circus is performed by children who grow up
and enjoy the circus as a part of our culture and performing arts, "he added.

The contest is open to professional and amateur photographers, as well as friends of the circus.
Twelve winning photos will be chosen by a jury composed of historians of the circus. The winner will be chosen personally by
HSH Princess Stephanie of Monaco. The winning photographs
be published in a 2012 wall calendar will go on sale in September 2011.

All participants will be notified of competition results in late July and each winner will receive a calendar
signed by HSH Princess Stephanie of Monaco. The winner will receive a free
stay of two nights for two at the Riviera Marriott Hotel 19 to 20 January 2012 and two tickets for shows
A and B of the 36th International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.

The World Federation of Cirque was founded in 2008 and is based in Monte Carlo. The objective of CME is
promote arts and culture of the circus around the world to support the circus
through its own projects, to be the voice of the circus community and represent interests
circus to international organizations.
